The Door Still Awaits You

Imagine someone you love the most—someone you trust wholeheartedly—breaks that trust, betrays you, and leaves you. You find yourself waiting for them, hoping they will come back with the same love and passion. Perhaps you wait for days, months, or even years, but not forever. Eventually, you grow weary, and one day you give up and move on.

Then, after some time, they realise their mistake, recognise your worth, and want to return. Will you accept them with the same trust and love? Most likely, no. Your self-respect or ego will prevent you from trusting them again easily. Even if you consider giving them another chance, you’d need much reassurance that they won’t hurt you again.

Now, consider the generosity of your Lord, the One you repeatedly betray and turn away from. Often, the first thing you sacrifice or compromise is your connection with Him. Yet, the Most Generous, the Most Merciful, stands where you left Him, waiting for you to return. You sin and forget Him for days, months, even years. Then one day, you realise your mistake, repent, and want to return to Him.

And how does He respond? He, Al-Wadud, has no ego. He welcomes you back, trusts you again, and gives you another chance. And not just one chance, but He keeps giving you chances over and over. His door is never closed. It’s the only door in the universe that remains always open. You may leave and return as many times as you wish.

However, beware—the door is open only until an appointed time. That final chance could come at any moment—tonight, tomorrow, or in years—but one day your time will run out. When? No one knows. The angel of death may be waiting for the next moment to take your soul. There is no escape from Allah’s judgement except by turning back to Him before you finally return to Him.

So turn back now, while His door remains open.

Islam is perfect, and any mistakes are solely mine. I take responsibility for my mistakes and seek your pardon for any errors I may have made. And Allah Knows Best!
